Tech N9ne slays in Detroit

Tech N9ne brought his Strange New World Tour to the Fillmore Detroit on Monday and left the raucous crowd happy as he moved through some of his biggest hits.

The Kansas City rapper is always on the move and he's currently out in support of his new album, Asin9ne.

Monday's show also featured strong performances from Strange Music label mates Maez 301, Jehry Robinson and King Iso.

Tech N9ne was also joined by former label mate, Rittz, who took to the stage right before him and did a great job of getting the slowly growing crowd amped up for the main event.

The tour was delayed last year and its been a minute since the always touring Tech N9ne had graced the Detroit area and his fans were definitely ready to receive him as they sang and cheered throughout the set.

Although his set missed a bit of its usual flair after the departure of both his hype men in Kutt Calhoun and Krizz Kaliko, Tech fed off of the energy from the crowd and his set gained momentum throughout as he commanded the stage on his own.

During the set, Tech moved through a number of the crowd favorites from "Psycho Bitch" and "Einstein" to "Caribou Lou" and "Hood Go Crazy."

He also brought King Iso out to perform some new flavor before taking some time to talk with the audience, sharing how grateful he was to see so many people come out to see him during a pandemic.

He was also blown away by how many people in the audience hadn't seen him before.

After a singing a bit of "Areola," he was met with a host of flying bras that gained even more momentum when he revealed that he and his crew liked to donate them to domestic violence shelters.

Eventually, he calmed the audience down and continued with the set, pulling out a dramatic rendition of "This Ring" alongside some more hits before winding things down with his Gun Salute as the audience enthusiastically chanted along.
