'Pretty Woman: The Musical' in Detroit

Pretty Woman: The Musical is playing at The Fisher Theatre in Detroit until February 25th.

Based on one of Hollywood's most beloved romantic comedies of all time, the musical closely follows the film version and features an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance and is based on a book by the movie's legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.

Catchy music, strong casting and the blending of humor and drama make for a engaging and amusing production.

Leading the cast are Ellie Baker as prostitute Vivian Ward and Chase Wolfe as ruthless businessman Edward Lewis.

The ease and chemistry between the two make it easy to invest in their whirlwind opposites attract love affair.

Adam Du Plessis, who plays a number of roles throughout the show and Detroit's own Rae Davenport as Vivian's friend/roommate and fellow prostitute Kit De Luca both shine bright and help keep the story unfolding.

The show also features a joyful performance of Roy Orbison and Bill Dee's international smash hit "Oh, Pretty Woman," which inspired the hit movie when it was released in 1990.

Tickets for Pretty Woman: The Musical can be purchased online at BroadwayinDetroit.com or at the Fisher Theatre box office.
