Messer soak up history in Detroit

Dallas, Texas band Messer are no strangers to the road, keeping up a relentless touring schedule that most recently brought them to Detroit where they took the stage at Saint Andrews Hall, opening for Creed's Scott Stapp.

Messer is out pushing their new single "Simple Man," which has been steadily climbing the charts at Active Rock Radio and gaining stream numbers on Spotify.

The band released their self-titled album last year, which features a blend of hard rock and blues that strays from the cookie-cutter sound prevalent on rock radio these days.

The band's fierce attitude, catchy hooks and creative vigor sets them apart and before their show in Detroit they spoke to Rock Life and talked about what's next, doing things independently and why they enjoy playing in Michigan.
