Stanford, Connecticut's own alternative rock band, soft spot, have been out on the road for a 10-date run through the East Coast and Midwest.


The tour will be stopping at Frankie's in Toledo tonight and at Ziggy's in Ypsilanti tomorrow night.


Drawing influences from iconic bands like Alice In Chains, Hum and Superheaven, soft spot is known for painting vivid atmospheric sound scales with heavy, distorted riffs.


soft spot are also known for their enthusiastic live performances and have performed with acts like Sponge and Page Hamilton of Helmet.


The band recently added a fourth member and now consist of Gianni Car pans a no on guitar and vocals, Dave Eisermann on bass, Marc Marenco on drumsdrums and Will Vellek on guitar.


soft spot are gearing up for the May 22nd release of their new EP 1-800-soft-spot, which features new single "Temporary Bliss."


Tickets for tonight's show at Frankie's and tomorrow's show at Ziggy's are $10 at the door.
