Secondhand Serenade playing Bling Pig

Emo-pop rocker, Secondhand Serenade, will be hitting the stage in Ann Arbor tonight at the Blind PIg along with openers, Dangerous Summer and Say We Can Fly.

The show starts at 7 pm with a $25 cover. Tickets can be purchased here.

The solo project fronted by singer/guitarist, John Vesely, is getting ready to release a new album Just Because You Sing Loud early next year.

The first single from the album, "One," will be out on November 12th and Secondhand Serenade's Just Because You Sing Loud Tour kicked off on November 1st and will be running through December 18th.

Vesely will be releasing singles throughout the tour to help build up to the album release, which is his first full project since 2017.

The name of the album and tour stems from a unique confrontation that he had at the temporary apartment he and his wife recently moved into while waiting for construction on their new Nashville home to be finished.

After a few months of complaints from a neighbor about his songwriting habits and banging on the walls, Vesely woke up to an angry letter on his door that basically boiled down to the statement, "Just because you sing loud doesn't mean it's good."

Vesely went on to turn the letter into a form of inspiration for the upcoming album and has the letter framed and displayed on the wall of his studio to remind himself that any of life's negativity can be turned into a positive.
