Close Enemies, the powerhouse rock band featuring vocalist Chasen Hampton alongside legendary musicians, bassist Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) and drummer Tony Brock (The Babys, Rod Stewart) and touring veterans, Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow, Don Henley,) and Trace Foster (Hamilton's bass tech, longtime Angus Young guitar tech,) are getting ready for some Summer tour dates that includes a June 14th stop in Westland at The Token Lounge.
Last week, Rock Life got a chance to chat with Foster who had just made a stop in Detroit with AC/DC.
"We just left Detroit last night. The whole AC/DC tour sold out within an hour. I don't think we've done a show in ten years that wasn't sold out. It's really amazing! Their music just transcends generations and that's pretty cool, " Foster shared. "I and the other guys in Close Enemies are really looking forward to coming back to the Detroit area and playing The Token Lounge."
He says a friend of his who toured with Brad Whitford (Aerosmith) for his Whitford St. Holmes project has been raving about The Token Lounge since they played there a few years ago, "He said it was the best show out of all of them and that we're really going to love that place. I just really enjoy playing clubs. I'm doing those stadiums right now and it's weird because it's great to play to that many people, but there's something about playing for a couple hundred dirty, sweaty people too. You can actually feel the energy."
Close Enemies have quickly gained attention with their crackling singles "Sound of A Train" and "Sweet Baby Jesus" as well as word-of-mouth about their fiery live sets.
Tickets for their Token Lounge show are on sale now here.
Doors for the show open at 7 pm.
