On Thursday, August 20th, Australian electronic music duo Empire of the Sun brought their immersive visual and sonic spectacle to Freedom Hill (Michigan Lottery Amphitheater in Sterling Heights

Frontman Luke Steele commanded the stage with his charisma, theatrical garb and dramatic flair and soaring vocals.

The entire set was filled with eye popping visuals making it a rare show where it was as pleasing to the eyes as it was the ears.

The packed crowd that was filled with all ages were clearly having a blast as they sang and danced along to every song.

Empire of the Sun opened with "Desire" and "Changes" and closed with fan favorite "Walking on a Dream."

The band then returned for an encore of "Tiger By My Side" and an ebullient "Alive."

The show was opened by Midnight Generation and Polo & Pan.
